But while the island feels like paradise for many, for one Lancashire family, it has become a living nightmare. Jay Slater was found by the Civil Guard at around 10am yesterday (July 15), bringing an end to a four-week search operation. He had been staying in the town of Los Cristianos with his friends during his first holiday abroad without family. Jay had partied at the NRG Festival, leading up to a rave at the Papagayo club, on the notorious Veronicas strip of Playa de las Americas.
