Arsenal face missing out of another season of having Dani Ceballos at their disposal due their attempts at lowballing his parent club Real Madrid.Ceballos made a slow start to his season in north London but was one of the Gunners' best players once football returned from its coronavirus layoff.
The midfielder scored a late winner in the FA Cup quarter-final against Sheffield United which put Arsenal on the way to lifting the trophy for a record 14th time.
Boss Mikel Arteta rates the 24-year-old highly and is anxious to either sign him on a permanent basis or negotiate another loan next season.But Arsenal, who covered Ceballos' full salary this season and paid €4m loan fees, are not prepared to make the same outlay next year.
