Premier League rivals Arsenal and Chelsea could be set for a summer showdown as the pair reportedly chase youngster Kaan Kurt from German fourth tier Borussia Monchengladbach II.
Kurt, 18, has established himself with the Bundesliga’s reserve side this season, earning a call-up to Germany’s U19 set-up.
The teenager, who also has three caps for Turkey's U17’s, operates primarily as an attacking right-back, but has also been played on the left.
The Sun report that a deal for Kurt would cost around £4m, with the player’s contract not up with Gladbach until 2022. Arsenal are not thought to have the money to make any marquee signings this summer, but may look to add some cheaper prospects to their ranks.
