Arrest made in connection with Bristol human remains murder probe

A 36-year-old man has been placed under arrest and is currently being questioned after human remains were discovered within two suitcases in Bristol.

He was taken into custody in Greenwich, Southeast London early on Friday morning, according to Scotland Yard. The arrest is in connection with an ongoing investigation following the discovery of human remains in two suitcases on the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol, reports the Mirror.

Police previously stated they were searching for a man, but asked members of the public not to approach him. He has been taken into custody where he remains. This is not the same man we are appealing for." Details of the suspicions leading to his arrest have not been disclosed by the spokesman.
