Police have arrested a man after a seven-year-old girl was 'abducted from the street, taken into woodland then sexually assaulted in a van' - though the hunt for another man continues.
Officers were first called to the scene of the terrifying incident in Droylsden at around 4pm yesterday (Wednesday). Police believe the girl was taken by a man on Warne Avenue and into a wooded area near the disused railway track towards Manchester Road.
The victim was then taken to a van where she was sexually assaulted. She was taken back to the woods before she bravely managed to find her own way to a nearby park.
