The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office has decided not to press charges against Armie Hammer for an alleged sexual assault.
The alleged rape was first reported by a woman who identified herself as “Effie” back in February of 2021. Keep reading to find out more… The D.A.’s office said (via Variety), “In this case, those prosecutors conducted an extremely thorough review, but determined that at this time, there is insufficient evidence to charge Mr.
Hammer with a crime. As prosecutors, we have an ethical responsibility to only charge cases that we can prove beyond a reasonable doubt… Due to the complexity of the relationship and inability to prove a non-consensual, forcible sexual encounter we are unable to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.” You can read Effie‘s full quotes about the alleged rape right here, including allegations that he held her hostage for over four hours.
