Man charged after serious assault in Clydebank leaves two hospitalised

Two men have been rushed to hospital in a serious condition after an alleged assault at a block of flats in Clydebank. Police and the Scottish Ambulance Service raced to the West Court flats in the Littleholm Place area of the town around 7pm on Wednesday night.

The injured men, aged 36 and 25, were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment to "serious but not life-threatening" injuries.

Officers were seen standing guard at the block of flats following the incident. A man was later arrested and charged, and is due in court on Friday, police said.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of two men having been assaulted in the Littleholm Place area of Clydebank shortly before 7pm on Wednesday, 14 June. “The men, 36 and 25, were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment to serious but non-life threatening injuries. “A 31-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is expected to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Friday, June 16, 2023.” Don't miss the latest news from around Scotland and beyond - Sign up to our daily newsletter here.
