Police have issued an appeal after an armed robber burst into a shop and broad daylight and stole £6,000 in cash. The terrifying incident happened at a shop on Councillor Lane in Cheadle at around 10am yesterday morning (March 25).
Police said the man burst into the premises and wedged the electric sliding door open. He then approached the counter 'holding an unknown item' and demanded cash from a worker.

No serious injuries were reported. No arrests have been made and officers are continuing to hunt for the suspect. Today (March 26), police released a picture of a man 'they would like to speak to in connection with this incident as they believe he has vital information that could help'.
