Argos plans to reopens stores 'in June' as lockdown measures ease

Argos is set to reopen a number of its stand-alone stores later this month after it closed during lockdown.The retail giant said it would be bring back 140 branches from June 15 as the UK Government eased restrictions to allow non-essential shops to reopen.It is not yet known if Argos stores will reopen in Scotland this month with the country only just entering its first phase of its lockdown exit route map.So far, only supermarkets, DIY stores, sports equipment shops and garden centres have been allowed to reopen in Scotland, with larger retail outlets expected to make a comeback in phase three.Argos, which has 700 standalone stores across the UK, will only be carrying out collections and returns to begin with, Hull Live reports.Argos
