Applications open at new £40m Institute of Medical Sciences with 3,000 students per year set to attend

A £40m new medical training centre is receiving its first applications with thousands of students set to learn at the ‘gamechanging’ development.

The University of Bolton’s Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) is welcoming interest from prospective students set to start their studies from September 2024.

Based in the grounds of the Royal Bolton Hospital in Farnworth, the facility will increase the university’s capacity to train clinical skills professionals, delivering training to 3,000 people per year, with the building itself housing 950 students at any one time.

Courses now open for applications include nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy and a wealth of other options.
