An "anxious" Prince William confided in dad Charles and the Queen over doubts about his future with Kate, a royal expert has revealed.

In 2007, Kate's dreams were crushed when William ended their relationship, reportedly in a phone call to her at work. It is thought he got cold feet as speculation grew about an engagement, but both William and Kate have said the split in 2007 made them stronger.
