Manchester United and Antony have agreed for the Brazilian winger to be placed on leave amid domestic abuse allegations.A police investigation has been opened after allegations of domestic abuse against his previous girlfriend.
Brazilian publication UOL published allegations made by the 23-year-old's ex-partner on Monday. Antony also faces allegations of assault made by a woman in a Brazilian TV interview.
He has denied the claims both Greater Manchester Police and Sao Paulo Police are looking into.A statement from the Premier League club reads: "Manchester United acknowledges the allegations made against Antony.
Players who have not participated in international matches are due back in training on Monday. However, it has been agreed with Antony that he will delay his return until further notice in order to address the allegations.
