Anton Du Beke, 55, revealed he shed tears of joy when he and wife Hannah welcomed their twins George and Henrietta, now four years old, into their lives.

But there was something special about the circumstances in which they were born, that the Strictly star described as "quite a strange thing".In a new interview, the dancer explained that he and Hannah used IVF to conceive, and were surprised when it worked the first time. For some people it can take years for the treatment to be successful, so it's not something they have taken for granted. He recalled: "When Hannah and I went to the first scan together we were over the moon when the nurse said, 'There are two heartbeats.'"We were so lucky that the first round of IVF had worked for us."He continued to tell Reader's Digest: "The twins were born by elective caesarean, which is quite a strange thing."One minute there I was chatting away to Hannah as she lay on the delivery table."The next thing I know there are two babies in our arms, just like that!"An elective caesarean is when people know beforehand that they will be having a caesarean section. The appointment is usually the day before the baby's due date, so the mother doesn't go into labour.According to the NHS, around 16 in 100 births are by planned caesarean.Anton went on to reveal he's "glad fatherhood has come quite late" in his life, because he's able to spend ore time with his family."I'm able to be around to support Hannah, George and Henrietta," he gushed."It’s the most brilliant thing that has ever happened to me."And with his career going from success to success, the Strictly judge paid his upmost respect to Hannah for her support throughout it all."Hannah is very supportive of my career and I think she is.
