Eddie Hearn is confident that Anthony Joshua's next fight will be for the world heavyweight title. The London 2012 Olympic gold medalist has got himself back into contention for world honours with a run of four consecutive victories, the latest coming in a two round demolition of former UFC star turned boxer Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia last month.
Joshua, 34, will be watching on with interest when domestic rival Tyson Fury and former opponent Oleksandr Usyk do battle for the undisputed heavyweight title in the Middle East on May 18.
Saudi Minister for Entertainment Turki Alalshikh has declared that he wants the winner to face Joshua, but with Fury and Usyk have signing onto a two-fight deal, a rematch will be held later in the year, no matter who comes out on top in the first bout.
However, the second showdown between the two current champions is not likely to have the IBF belt on the line, with it's mandatory challenger in line for a shot at the title.
