Fans of Britain’s Got Talent were moved by presenter Ant McPartlin’s kind gesture during the fourth live semi-final show. On Thursday, 30 May it was revealed that one of the series' favourite acts would not be going through to the grand final on Sunday 2 June.

After dance pair Abigail & Afronitaaa were confirmed as finalists, it was announced that dance troupe Phoenix Boys or choir Northants Sings Out would win the second spot in the final.

It was down to the judges, Simon Cowell, Bruno Tonioli, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon to decide who would go through, but once again the vote was split with Simon and Bruno voting to send the boys into the final and Amanda and Alesha choosing the choir.

That meant it was down to the public vote again, and Northants Sings Out won the coveted spot, meaning Phoenix Boys journey on the show was ending.
