Britain’s Got Talent 2024 winner Sydnie Christmas has spoken out about the heartache caused by fans claiming her win was fixed. The 28-year-old singer took a huge 27% of the public vote after wowing judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli.
Jack Rhodes came second with 15.8% of the vote and Abigail and Afronitaaa were third with 10.4%. But Sydnie was so nervous waiting for Ant and Dec to announce a winner, she feared she’d throw up.
Now Sydnie is delighted to have scooped the £250,000 prize money and insists she earned her win. “The public ultimately have to vote, don't they?” says Sydnie, “They could have voted for whoever they wanted to win.” Fans claim that giving Sydnie the last slot on the show meant she would get the most votes, but Sydnie doesn’t agree. “It wouldn't have mattered if I'd gone first.
