'Anora' Wins Best Picture at Oscars 2025, Director Sean Baker Makes History with Four Wins in One Night

justjared.comSean Baker has made Oscars history as the first person to win four awards for the same movie. The 54-year-old Anora director took home the Best Director award and three other prizes at the 2025 Academy Awards on Sunday (March 2) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
In addition to Best Director, Sean won the awards for Best Picture for producing, Best Original Screenplay for writing the movie, and Best Editing for being the film’s editor.
The only other person to win four Oscars in the same night is Walt Disney, who completed the feat in 1953, but for four different movies.
Parasite director Bong Joon Ho technically accepted four awards back in 2020, but he only was eligible to win three of them.
