Andy Robertson has apologised to Liverpool fans after the Reds' Invincibles dream evaporated against Watford . The Hornets' stunning 3-0 win over Liverpool at Vicarage Road on Saturday ended the Reds' astonishing unbeaten run at 44 games.
That was five games short of the top-flight record set by Arsenal's 'Invincibles', who won the 2002-3 Premier League title without losing a game, then carried on their unbeaten run into the following season.
Before Saturday's shock defeat, Jurgen Klopp's side had won all bar one of their Premier League games this season and had not lost in the league more than a year.
Their previous Premier League defeat came against Manchester City in January 2019, ultimately costing the Reds their title challenge.
