Andrew Rannells attended the 2015 Golden Globes as the guest of his Girls co-star Lena Dunham, who was nominated for her work on the HBO show.

The 44-year-old actor revealed in a new interview that he was removed from the Girls table and forced to sit at a different table, next to some A-List celebs who seemed confused by his placement at their table. “They told me as I arrived that, um, that Richard Plepler, who was at the time the, you know, head of HBO, had decided at the last moment to bring his wife, which is lovely, but it meant there was no seat for me at the table anymore,” Andrew said on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show.
