It seems like Nick Thompson has fallen on hard times. The former Love is Blind reality star has revealed in a new interview that he’s close to homelessness, after appearing on the popular Netflix series. Keep reading to find out more… According to Nick, after appearing on the show, he says that he was fired from his marketing VP job in November, and while he’s applied for more positions since then, nothing has panned out. “I’ve done everything right.

I focused on my career, I saved… [but now] my unemployment’s gone, I had to cash out my 401k so I can just keep paying my mortgage,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “I’m at the point where I’ve applied to over 400 jobs and I’ve got about two months left of paying my mortgage in my bank account.” Nick implied that his involvement with Love is Blind has affected his ability to get a new job, and suggested it also was a factor of him getting fired, too. “There were a number of layoffs, but it was a week after my name was not politely mentioned in the media, so I think that might have been a contributing factor when decisions were being made,” he says. “That’s speculation, of course, but after the show came out… I definitely felt like I wasn’t taken as seriously anymore… people would treat me a little bit differently and not take my ideas or my work as seriously.” Nick adds that he’s been on dozens of interviews since.
