Andrew Lloyd Webber 'wants to pump chemicals into schools and theatres to beat Covid'

Andrew Lloyd Webber has reportedly urged the use of a 'game-changing' chemical that would be pumped into schools, theatres and eateries to remove Covid.

The famous composer is said to have spent months lobbying ministers to trial the use of triethylene glycol (TEG) in a bid to help struggling indoor venues.

The substance is currently used in a range of products, and is listed as a component in the 'Oust' brand of air sanitising sprays among others.

A study in 2009 found that using the substance helped neutralise swine flu detected on a surface and that this led to 'no health risks for people.' What do you think of the idea?
