Andres Iniesta has issued a clear response to reports he could be set for a sensational return to Barcelona - as a member of the club's under-fire board.
The former captain left the Blaugrana after 22 years with the club in the summer of 2018. Iniesta won nine La Liga titles, four Champions League crowns and a host of other trophies during his time at Camp Nou.
The World Cup winner, 35, has since been shining in the J-League, playing with Vissel Kobe where he has won further honours.
Now, amid a civil war on the Catalan club’s board, a return for Iniesta has been flagged up. Club president Josep Maria Bartomeu is under increasing pressure after a number of difficulties in recent months - not least involving Lionel Messi.
