Manchester United have allowed David de Gea's contract to expire and may have to move to replace him in the transfer market.
The Spaniard is technically no longer a United player, although he still appears on the club's website. It would be a sad way for the 12-year servant to bow out at Old Trafford.
MEN Sport understands the Reds are on the lookout for a new first choice this summer and on Wednesday, De Gea added further speculation when he tweeted a yawning emoji.
While it is unclear what this is referencing, some believe it could be referring to the long negotiation process De Gea and his current club have been embroiled in.
