Food at District is cooked over a wood-fired barbecue, with a small cocktail bar tucked away in the basement. The restaurant has taken over an old off-licence on Oldham Street and turned the space into a futuristic venue with white tiles and pink lighting.
The new concept comes from the same team behind the nearby Japanese restaurant Tokyo Ramen. It's been inspired by the fire-and barbecue-lined streets of Bangkok, where skewers of meat are cooked over coals.
