Amy Dowden's twin sister admits to feeling 'guilt' over Strictly star's health battle

Amy Dowden's twin, Rebecca, has opened up about feeling "a sense of guilt" as the Strictly star battled breast cancer while also managing her Crohn's disease.After being diagnosed with aggressive stage three cancer in May last year, Amy went through several chemotherapy sessions and was declared cancer-free only a few months ago, although she will need monthly injections for the next five years.In a heartfelt conversation with The Times, the sisters discussed their close relationship and how Amy has coped with living with Crohn's and beating breast cancer.Rebecca expressed her emotions, telling the publication: "It's hard being a twin not to feel a sense of guilt.

I've lived a carefree life. I did all the things you should do as a youngster - going on my first girls' holiday, going to university, travelling - but because of Crohn's, Amy never got to do those things." Rebecca also spoke about her deep empathetic connection to Amy's health challenges, adding: "When she got her cancer diagnosis last year I would have done anything to take the pain from her.
