EXCLUSIVE: Amp International has boarded sales on romantic comedy, Near Miss, ahead of its festival premiere at the Edmonton International Film Festival at the end of September.
Written and directed by commercials director Jamie Rafn, the film stars David Fynn (Am I Being Unreasonable) and Tahirah Sharif (The Haunting of Bly Manor).
Pic is produced by Josephine Rose (Cinderella) of Bandit Country, and Jamie Rafn of Rafn Films. Timothy Renouf (A Very British Scandal) and Remy Beasley (Steeltown Murders) also star alongside Fynn and Sharif.
Shot across west London, the rom-com follows Jim, who married the first woman who ever showed him any interest. When she leaves him fifteen years later he is reluctantly thrust back into the dating game as his friends determine to have him hit the dating apps and play the field.
