‘America’s Got Talent’ comedian Kabir Singh dead at 39

Although an investigation is ongoing and a toxicology report is forthcoming, the outlet reported that authorities believe he died of natural causes.

Singh was reportedly in San Francisco at the time of his death and was originally from Fremont, Calif. Singh appeared on “America’s Got Talent” in 2021, getting laughs from the audience with jokes about his Indian background and his mom. “I’ve had a rough week, my mom just learned how to start text messaging people,” he opened his comedy set.

He added, “Does anyone’s mom text you? Worst thing that’s ever happened to me in my life.” He went on to joke about how “useless” her messages are, such as a text saying, “Oh my god, the remote is not working.” At the time, judge Howie Mandel called him “relatable” and “magnetic,” and told Singh, “America is going to love you.” Singh advanced to the semifinals of the NBC talent show during Season 16.
