Ambulance called for Strictly's Amy Dowden after she collapses backstage in 'medical emergency'
ok.co.ukStrictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden sparked an emergency behind the scenes as she fell ill just moments after her performance with JLS star JB Gill.The 34 year old pro, who made a full-time comeback this year following her breast cancer battle, reportedly took a turn on Saturday (26 October) night.
A representative for Amy shared: "Amy was feeling unwell and so an ambulance was called as a precaution. She is feeling much better and would like to thank the Strictly family for their love and concern.
We request Amy's privacy in matters of health is kindly respected," reports the Mirror. Meanwhile, the East of England Ambulance Service confirmed the incident, stating: "We were called just after 9pm on Saturday to attend a medical emergency at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood.
An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and one patient, an adult female, was taken to Barnet Hospital for further care." Earlier that evening, Amy and JB had charmed the judges with their foxtrot to Dancing In The Moonlight by Toploader, earning a score of 32.
