Amanda Abbington quits Strictly Come Dancing after being forced to miss live show

According to The Daily Star, Amanda, 49, who was partnered with Giovanni Pernice, 33, on the show, made the decision to step down from the competition after becoming 'fed up'.
A spokesperson for Strictly Come Dancing confirmed she had left with a statement that said: "Amanda Abbington is unable to continue in Strictly Come Dancing and has decided to withdraw from the competition. "The show wishes her all the best for the future." It comes after the actress didn't perform live on Saturday, alongside the other celebrities on the show, due to a mystery 'medical reason'.
Her absence was addressed at the beginning of Saturday night's show (October 21) as presenter Claudia Winkleman said: “Now as you may have noticed, Amanda and Giovanni are missing from the lineup.
