Alton Towers unveils two new Scarefest attractions for Halloween 2024

It's always one of Alton Towers' most popular events and this year's Scarefest is set to be bigger and better than ever. The resort has unveiled two completely new scare attractions as it looks forward to 24 days and nights of spooks and frights.

Offering something for everyone this Halloween, there'll be a brand-new live action scare maze, named COMPOUND, and family friendly attraction Amigos in the Afterlife. Read more: Manchester park's Mr Whippy van cuts prices of ice creams after being accused of 'taking the p**s' COMPOUND is described as 'a terrifying new, intense live-action scare maze based on the story of Nemesis Reborn', where guests find themselves as a subject of the Phalanx – a shady organisation originally tasked with keeping the Nemesis beast under control.

An 'intense and disorientating scare maze', it will be set within an intimidating Phalanx facility featuring dark and claustrophobic environments amongst the hallways and chambers of their labs.

Guests will be 'plunged into a sinister sci-fi experiment where their DNA is the next weapon'. The all-new family scare attraction, Amigos in the Afterlife, will take over the previous site of the Alton Towers Dungeon and invites guests to 'step foot into a vibrant world where the gap between this life and the next is at its thinnest'.
