The future of American diner TGI Fridays is in jeopardy after reports that the hospitality group behind it is on the brink of collapse.
The restaurant chain has put all of its 87 venues across the UK up for sale as owners Hostmore suffered a near-total collapse in its share price after it announced it had dropped ambitious plans to buy up outlets in the US.
Owners are hoping to complete a rapid sale by the end of the month. Shares in the London-listed company were all but wiped out following the announcement.
The share price has fallen by 96% since the start of this month to close yesterday at 22p.
