Goalkeeper Altay Bayindir has joked that Manchester United are by far the best supported English team in Turkey and that no one else comes second.
The Turkey international, who has helped his country qualify for Euro 2024, is yet to make his United bow after signing from Fenerbahce this summer.
He will be needed if Andre Onana decides to represent Cameroon in January’s Africa Cup of Nations, as expected. Onana went off injured in his country’s 3-0 win over Mauritius in Friday’s 2026 World Cup qualifier, with an official update yet to be given.
