Speaking with Town & Country's February 2023 Family issue, Williams, 34, shared how she grew a 'greater appreciation of the stakes' of her character after expanding her own family in real life. 'Having a greater appreciation of the stakes': Allison Williams has revealed how motherhood influenced her role in the upcoming horror film M3GANGemma begins the film with no children of her own before eventually caring for two - her niece Cady (Violet McGraw) and M3GAN (voiced by Jenna Davis).'I became a mom, and that made it all much more interesting, because that’s Gemma's whole arc,' Allison told the publication. 'One that she created from scratch and the other that she inherited, who, while sharing her DNA, is not her own,' she said, referring to her niece and the robot.'That was going to be complicated, but it also became more interesting as a performer to bring this person to life, having a greater appreciation of the stakes of that,' Allison said.
