Tom Dean and Duncan Scott have made history after the pair sealed a one-two win in the men's 200m freestyle at the Tokyo Olympic Games.

British Olympian Tom, who caught Covid-19 twice and missed almost two months of preparation, scooped the gold medal with a time of 1:44:22 while fellow Team GB swimmer Duncan earned a silver medal with just four seconds between the pair.

The Team GB stars also broke a 113-year record on Tuesday 27 July, as their triumph marked the first time since 1908 that two male British swimmers have stood on the Olympic podium in first and second place.
