Six new flood warnings have been issued across Greater Manchester this afternoon (December 9) as the region braces for adverse weather.
The Environment Agency has issued the warnings after telling residents in Horwich to ‘act now’ this morning in its first flood warning for the city-region.
Now, it has published six new amber warnings, less severe than the red warning in place for Horwich. The amber warning means ‘flooding is possible’ so people should ‘be prepared’.
The warnings were issued shortly after 2:30pm today.
