Assassin's Creed Shadows is set to release on March 20 after several delays that allowed developer Ubisoft to add polish to the title.
Despite it arriving four months after we originally expected, this latest entry in the franchise promises to take us to a period of history that fans have long since dreamed of visiting in the series - feudal Japan.
Playing as two different protagonists, players will be able to take on the role of either a Shinobi or a Samurai as they dive deeper into part of the world that Assassin's Creed hasn't explored too deeply yet.
What's more, it seems to have a bunch of brand new gameplay mechanics to entice players in and hopefully win some more fans over after the series previously pivoted to the open world RPG focus.
