Alison Hammond has reportedly “politely declined” the opportunity to front This Morning four times a week following the departure of main host Holly Willoughby, missing out on a 'huge pay rise'.

The TV personality, who has presented on the ITV daytime show on and off since 2002, has become a regular on the show in recent years and became a familiar face when she started presenting Friday shows alongside Dermot O'Leary.

More recently, following the departure of Holly and Phillip Schofield, the former Big Brother star has joined the likes of Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle as stand-in presenters while TV execs find a new duo to replace the show’s former hosts.

However, reports now suggest that viewers are unlikely to see Alison take to the This Morning sofa four days a week, with a source alleging that she has “politely declined the job”.
