Alison Hammond is reportedly set for a pay rise from This Morning as she moves up the ranks following the departure of co-star Phillip Schofield, who stepped down from the show earlier this month. The fan-favourite presenter, who reportedly put her £700,000 home up for sale last Thursday, is thought to have a net worth of at least £1M and has been on the show for over ten years, with speculation that she'll be spending even more time in the studio in the coming months.
It was reported last year that she takes home a salary of £600k for her role on the show. With sources claiming that she is 'incredibly in demand', one insider told The Sun: "It’s looking highly likely she will be asked to do more days a week on This Morning — and therefore she will be spending more time in London.” OK!
has contacted ITV and representatives of Alison Hammond for comment. Philip joined the show as a regular presenter in 2002 and has been the main host, alongside co-star Holly Willoughby, since 2009 until his exit last weekend.
The exit, which was announced by a statement from Phil, came after rumours of a "fall-out" between Phil, 62, and Holly, 41, had been swirling, with talk of tension on-set as the once-close pals were said to have been "barely speaking" once the cameras stop rolling.
