This Morning’s Alison Hammond was left in stitches during today's live coronation special after co-host Dermot O'Leary struggled to enter The Rovers Return pub door.
During the moment on live TV, which Dermot would have probably preferred not to draw attention to, Alison could not stop laughing as they finally entered the pub on Coronation Street. The duo started the segment of the show by welcoming viewers back to the coronation street party, before Alison turned to her co-host and said: “Listen, babes, it is time to head inside because it's thirsty work partying don’t you think?” Dermot replied: “I'm parched” before Alison said: “Do you fancy maybe a pint of Newton and Ridley?
Let's go in”. They then both eagerly turned around to lead the viewers inside. However, Dermot tried to open the door by pulling it before realising it needed to be pushed. The blunder, which almost everyone will have experienced at some point in their lives, might have gone unnoticed if Alison didn’t shout out: “It’s a push, not pull,” before hysterically laughing as they walked into the famous Coronation Street pub.
