Ali Crawford set to return from injury in "two or three weeks"

Ali Crawford’s groin scan has revealed that the St Johnstone midfielder will not miss too much football.Fears had been raised that the 30-year-old on loan from Bolton would be out for a considerable length of time.But manager Callum Davidson yesterday confirmed he is likely to return before the end of the month.

Crawford, who has made a good impression since arriving in Perth, went off injured in Saints’ recent 3-1 victory against Dundee.“We sent him for a scan and the injury has settled down well,” Davidson said. "He’ll probably be out for two or three weeks from now.“The international break came at a good time in terms of the number of games he’ll miss.
