Ex Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has hired a personal fitness trainer in a bid to get into shape after admitting he needs to do more to succeed at Santos - in a repeat of an issue that dogged him in his final season at Ibrox. The Colombian striker was bombed into the reserves at the Brazilian club and told he wouldn't play in their Serie B campaign which starts tonight.
Santos president Marcelo Teixeira claimed Morelos' bumper contract was a remnant of "past administrations of the club".However, after a meeting this week, Morelos was told he would return to the Santos squad, but must work on his fitness.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst dumped Morelos from his Rangers squad for last season's Champions League qualifier against PSV Eindhoven at the start of what proved to be the South American's final season in Glasgow.
