Alan Hutton reckons Alfredo Morelos “kind of threw his toys out the pram” after being forced to play second fiddle to Rangers strike rival Antonio Colak earlier in the season. The clock is ticking on the Colombian’s six-year stint at Ibrox with his contract having just a few months left to run and Michael Beale recently admitting that the 26-year-old had to do more, although talk of Morelos penning a pre-contract with Sevilla have been dismisses.Hutton spent six years in the Rangers first team after progressing through the youth ranks and believes the temperamental frontman took the huff when Colak arrived in the summer the former PAOK Salonika man was Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s first choice with Colak grabbing the goal against PSV Eindhoven that fired the Light Blues into the Champions League group stage. And Hutton told Football Insider: “When you look at the last couple of seasons there has been a lot of chatter about him leaving.

Then Colak came in and he had the injury, missed the [Europa League] final.“Part of me thinks that he thought he was going to be first choice as soon as he was back fit.

In recent weeks we have seen him playing at a better level, a better standard and it looks like he is looking after himself.
