Alex Scott breaks down in tears over emotional Children in Need moment

Former footballer and TV presenter Alex Scott looked sensational as she co-hosted Children In Need alongside Chris Ramsey but broke down when she heard the emotional story of a little boy with a difficult story.The segment started off by introducing a young boy with a condition Alex said was one "that most of us will find difficult to understand." Viewers were introduced to Shay, an 11 year old boy who loves football.

However, when he was around five years old he developed what his parents described as "weird habits that would just go away" but one evening Shay went to bed, and the next morning looked very different for the family.

On waking, Shay couldn't stop shaking his head. Viewers were then shown a pre-recorded video of Shay struggling with tics - a heartbreaking and debilitating neurological disorder symptom.

Shay also has to be careful for 'tic attacks' which he describes as "like a volcano, where all my tics can come out at one time and cause seizures." Ten months later and Shay was officially diagnosed with Tourettes Syndrome.The family have had a difficult few years but Shay is in a much better place now and being supported by the charity that benefits from the funds raised by Children In Need.
