Supermarket giant Aldi has teamed up with a national charity to share tips on how to reduce food waste while saving money during Food Waste Action Week.WRAP’s Love Food Hate Waste campaign is raising awareness on how more than 4.5 million tonnes of food, which could have been eaten, is being wasted by UK households every year.Food Waste Action Week is designed to wake the nation up to the environmental consequences of wasting food, and finding simple solutions to reduce the problem - one household at a time.Around a third of food produced around the world is wasted, which contributes to around eight to 10 per cent of total man-made greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.Research also shows that an average family of four could save just over £60.
