Aldi introduce new 'price cuts' initiative in Scottish stores on rice pasta and cereal

Aldi has introduced a new initiative within Scottish stores as part of their commitment to reducing food waste.The budget supermarket will now feature price cuts on selected products, including rice, pasta, cereal, and tinned food, in all of it's stores across Scotland and the UK.There are currently more than 920 Aldi stores in the UK and 96 are based in Scotland.Aldi has said the food items will be marked down by 30% if the packaging is imperfect.The reduction stickers will offer savvy shoppers lower prices whilst also helping to combat the issue of food waste, as Aldi has committed to reducing it's food waste by 20% in 2025 and then a halve it by 2030.The new initiative follows the on from the launch of 75% reductions on perishable
