Supermarkets are warning customers to check certain products in their kitchen cupboards as some items are being recalled. Asda, Iceland, Aldi and Tesco have all sent out alerts over products including chicken pies, digestive biscuits and Easter eggs.

The Food Safety Agency (FSA) shares details on items that have been recalled from retailers and what you should do if you have bought them.

Some items are recalled because they may contain pieces of plastic or metal that make them unsafe to eat, while others may contain dangerous bacteria such as E.coli and Salmonella.

Brits are being urged to check whether they have purchased any of the products and not to eat any of the items affected. They can be sent back to the supermarket for a refund and you do not need a receipt to return them, Liverpool Echo reports.
