Airdrie have announced the signing of Dean McMaster from St Mirren.In player-boss Rhys McCabe's second signing of the summer, McMaster has penned a permanent deal after a successful loan spell from the Buddies last season.The 20-year-old helped the Diamonds win promotion to the Championship with their play-off final victory over Hamilton Accies on penalties.And he now joins striker Nikolay Todorov, who joined from Dunfermline yesterday, in committing his future to the New Broomfield side.A statement from Airdrie read: "Dean McMaster is the latest player to join Airdrie’s squad for the upcoming Championship campaign, signing a permanent deal following last season’s successful loan from St Mirren."Midfielder Dean needs no introduction to the Diamonds support, having made 24 appearances during a season-long loan from the Paisley club, and will now join subject to SFA clearance."Impressing in the holding midfield role, 20-year-old Dean is comfortable in a number of positions across the middle of the park, and will be looking to continue his impressive progress following a solid first season at the Excelsior."Needless to say we’re delighted to have Dean back, and look forward to seeing him in a Diamond once again."Follow Lanarkshire Live Sport onTwitter via@LanLiveSport, like us onFacebookor find us onInstagramfor the latest sports news, pictures and video.
