Air India plane crashes with 191 on board leaving pilot dead and dozens injured

mirror.co.ukAn Air India plane has crashed with 191 passengers on board. The plane was travelling from Dubai to Calicut, also known as Kozhikode, in Kerala, India, when it crashed near the runway.
It reportedly skidded off the runway at Calicut International Airport and plunged into a valley. At least 40 passengers are so far believed to be injured, according to early reports.
Firefighters and ambulances have rushed to the scene, with paramedics ferrying the injured to local hospitals. The pilot has died in the crash and many others have been hurt, according to the Indian politician KJ Alphons.
