Netflix viewers have recognised the actress who portrays Manda Miller, the mum, in the series Adolescence.The four-part drama, which premiered last week, features a star-studded cast including Stephen Graham and Ashley Walters.The show, created by Jack Thorne and Stephen, centres around a young boy named Jamie Miller (played by Owen Cooper) who is accused of murdering a young girl.
Each of the four episodes of the drama was filmed in a single shot in Pontefract, West Yorkshire. Stephen Graham takes on the role of Jamie's father, Eddie Miller, while Ashley Walters plays DI Luke Bascombe, who is the lead investigator on the case.
Jamie's mother, Manda, is portrayed by actress Christine Tremarco. Meanwhile, Stephen's real-life wife Hannah Walters also appears in the series as a teacher.
However, viewers of Adolescence - which has received rave reviews and been hailed as the best TV series of the year - were taken aback upon realising where they had seen Christine Tremarco before, reports the Mirror.The actress recently appeared in the ITV soap Emmerdale, playing Rose Jackson, the estranged mother of Dawn Taylor (portrayed by Olivia Bromley).
