Adele has postponed her Las Vegas residency less than 24 hours before the first show was due to kick off. The 33 year old, who is reportedly set to rake in £500,000 per show at the venue, took to her Instagram feed to share an emotional video of herself announcing the news to her 48.7million followers.

Dressed in a navy and brown jumper with her hair styled down, the star immediately broke into tears as she explained the shows have had to be cancelled as half her team caught coronavirus. "Hiya, listen, I'm so sorry but my show ain't ready," she started the video. "We've tried absolutely everything that we can to pull it together in time and for it to be good enough for you but we've been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and Covid."
